If Wealth is having an abundance of valuable possessions or money, What is an abundance? have you ever thought about that?

Abundance is defined as a large quantity of something. Having plenty. But what is plenty?

Plenty is defined as a large or sufficient amount, more than enough.

What do you have in your life that you have a wealth of? Interesting question. Before you answer that I would like to send you back to the definition of wealth. an interesting word is used in the definition that may give you a clue and perhaps even a fresh view of where you are and what you have. Because you see, being wealthy is not about possessions or money alone. It’s so much more.

It has been written that your treasures are where you heart is and the opposite is true as well, your heart is where your treasures are. This is done by how each of you places certain values on things. What do you value? The reason I ask is the word that is in the definition of wealth that really defines the word is VALUABLE. Used in conjunction with abundance, wealth takes on a fresh meaning.

What value do you place on yourself, your possessions and your money? What is the value you place on your current employment situation? When something is valued it is considered to be important or beneficial; you have a high opinion of it.

So, are you wealthy? Are you on the road to wealth? What are your thoughts?

The new workplace.

I had a chance to get away from the confines of both the home and company office. I needed to change the atmosphere a little so I could focus on real life situations. Yep, it was time to leave the comforts of a corporate office and get a chance to blog from the real world. It never ceases to amaze me how many meetings occur in the local Starbucks. 2 mothers with a child walking around. Business men discussing a project. And older couple catching up on personal affairs. A father and son meeting over spring break. People like me blogging, studying and utilizing social media. So, here I am in the modern workplace and hangout blogging. Thinking about how life is evolving and adapting in a rather cool way.

Yet I wonder, “have the attitudes toward money and retirement for these people evolved at the same pace”? How about you? Are you still in the same plan with the same results you’ve been getting, hoping to get something different? If you want something you haven’t had you have to do something you’ve never done. Change you surroundings. Refocus. You’ll be surprised at the outcome .

A life lesson from Gary

When I was a teenager I remember thinking that I would live forever. I had all the time in the world to do the things I needed to do in order to live a good and fulfilling life. My first job was great, I had almost more money each week than I could spend. Life was good.

When I was in my 20’s I worked for companies that offered benefits. You know, the ones that all of the older, married co-workers wanted. I could be risky. I was young. I had all the time int he world to get something established that would really work. I was 40 years from being in my 60’s. Life was good.

When I reached 40 I looked at my accounts and said, “Wow, If only I’d…………”. You know, this was one of those times when you start to reflect. I had always heard that “bad things can happen to good people”. I had heard to “lay up treasures in heaven” and “where your treasure is is where your heart also is”. From the looks at my balance sheet it was fairly evident of what I considered treasures, not to mention the credit card statements.

Now that my life has made yet another turn of a page I have learned that time and money are precious commodities and we should guard both with the same vengeance and diligence. When I was young I thought like a young man and now that I am not as young I throw away the foolishness ways of the past to be able to achieve the ultimate prize and step into a life that is free of headaches and heartaches. Especially when it comes to how I use my time and money.

Where are you today? If you are young you are in such a great position in life to learn from people who have stepped on the same path you are on. You may not see them because they are farther on the journey than you are but trust me, they are on the same path.

Thank you

>Being your best. What does that mean?

>Oprah Winfrey once said that “Doing your best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.”

What is your best? To me this means that I do everything I am able to do at the time.

Living in the “now” instead of living in the past is the best place to keep our mental and physical nature. What happened in our past only happened to shape us to be the person we are n the “now”. We cannot predict our future but we can prepare for the events that come. When we do our best in the present time we are building up ourselves for anything that comes in the future.
